Don’t miss the Lucky Leprechaun 5K Run & Walk. Get into the St. Patrick’s Day Spirit on Saturday, March 10, 2012! Wear Green and show your Leprechaun Spirit! The course is flat, fast and beautiful as it parallels the ocean along the east side of the island. Come enjoy a walk on the beach with us.
The race begins at the Winds Beach Resort at 310 E. First Street, Ocean Isle Beach. Registration onsite is from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Runners start at 9 a.m. and walkers start at 9:15 a.m. Race entry fee is $25 until March 7 and $30 Day of Race. Children 12 and under, $15 until March 7 and $20 Day of Race. The following awards will be issued: Grand Prize: Overall Male & Female Finishers will win a Free Night’s Stay at the Winds Beach Resort. Well-behaved canine companions may participate.
“First Time 5K”: This is awarded to the Top 2 males and females over the age of 40 who are participating in their first 5K. 1st Place wins a bicycle. 2nd place wins a 1-hour massage.
