Baldhead Island Labor Day Music Extravaganza takes place from Aug. 31 and September 2, 2012. You can dance the weekend away with Bald Head Island’s signature beach music bash! Weekend events include the Coastal Carolina Bash, Harbourside Pavilion Picnic and a Texas BBQ too good to miss.
The local Labor Day Sand Sculpture Contest is being held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on the beach behind Community Center, 44 East 1st Street, Ocean Isle Beach. There’s a Children’s Division – up to age 13 and a Family Division – 4 adults and no limit on children. Trophies and prizes will be awarded in all divisions. Don’t miss it!
Oak Island Art Guild’s 23rd Annual Arts & Crafts Festival takes place on Saturday Sep. 1, 2012. This annual Labor Day Weekend festival celebrates local and regional artists and craftspeople that will be displaying and selling their handmade goods. The festival takes place at Middleton Park Extension Soccer Field, 46th SE Street & Dolphin Drive, Oak Island.
