Holden Beach Land

This beautiful North Carolina town sits between historic Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC.  It's about a 45 minute drive to either city.  Holden Beach has many stores and shops for your needs.  If you can't find what you're looking for, 10 minutes away sits the town of Shallotte, which has many department and grocery stores for anything you desire.

Holden Beach land is absolutely superb.  It's a quiet island that sits off the Atlantic Ocean, and is a family friendly area.  It has roughly 900 residents, and when summer hits that number jumps to over 10,000 due to tourism.  It's a great area to live permanently or have a vacation home.  The area's moderate temperature and miles of clean, sandy beaches make this a true paradise.

Holden Beach also holds events and activities to get the community involved with each other.  Some key events this month are NC Festival By The Sea from 10/24/09 to 10/25/09.  It will include a parade and many vendors from good eats to arts and crafts.  There are many other events such as shag dancing, car shows, film showings, and many more in the area.
